Feel free to send me an email through this form for any reason.
Or, if I’m online, you can (hopefully) talk to me directly by clicking -here-
If you are looking to get into parkour then I would suggest browsing through the resources available at http://americanparkour.com. And if you are in the Washington or Oregon area, definitely check out http://washingtonparkour.com or http://oregonparkour.com.
If you are looking to connect with the traceurs in the area or have a larger question of the parkour community then make sure to get in touch with the Pacific NW Parkour Association as well.

Hi,
I’d like to see some parkour with my own eyes, get to know the crowd, and maybe eventually photograph it.
Is there a spot where I can find traceurs regularly?
Merci,
f
Rather than hanging out at some areas hoping to find people I’d suggest joining the community at http://washingtonparkour.com
Introduce yourself, get to know the people, and head out to one of the jams. See ya there!
Hi.. My name is Jiho-Kim. I`m south korea traceur.
There is a very irritating phenomenom happening in Korea. People are
calling parkour, yamamaski! The grammar might be odd in that sentence so
I’ll say it again : When the art of movement is supposed to be called
parkour, people in Korea are calling it yamamaski.
I was really getting into parkour and I thought maybe I should join a club
or something to get to know people like me and talk about stuff. So I
surfed the net and found something that frustrated me. Korean people were
calling parkour ‘yamamkasi’. Yeh, I know that Yamakasi is a group name
from
the founders, but believe it or not people in Korean are saying ‘the sport
Yamamkasi’. It’s so stupid. It’s like saying ‘Let’s go and play some
Chicago Bulls.’ instead of saying ‘Let’s go and play some basketball.’
Even
when parkour is discussed on TV they call it that. It’s really
embarrassing.
I think this happened because of the movie, ‘yamakasi’. I’ve noticed that
in
the movie, not one time does anyone mention the word ‘parkour’. Plus, the
Korean translated caption was trash and made everyone think the sport was
called yamakasi.
So I thought I would ask people from the forum what they thought about
this. Do you think it’s sick? or do you think it’s nothing and should be
ignored whatever they call it. If it’s awkward to you too, I;m gonna put
your thoughts on the most popular korean parkour club and tell them that
they should fix how they call the sport. If it doesn’t bother you, I’ll
just keep my mouth shut from now on and join the ‘we are doing yamakasi’
club…

Really it’s up to you man, the more you practice and dedicate yourself to this stuff the less and less the names matter. They are calling it what they know it as because of the movie, they may not even care about the history and philosophy of parkour, looks like they are doing their own thing.
If they care about efficiency and the all the things David Belle has talked about then I would try to convince them to call it parkour if I were you. But if they are just out to have fun and get some exercise, it doesn’t matter at all man.
What’s up
. Your flow is just incredible . Most of videos contain lots of unnecessary flips and spins, but you show efficient and quick parkour.
. I’m a traceur too and me and my friends train everyday to improve strength and other things. If you have a time, write e-mail with your exercises for a strength and a flow
.
I wonder how you got so big strength in the arms. What exercises have you done? . I’d be glad for your answer via e-mail or here
