I think he means more like bending your knees more so you can reach the bar by being lower down to it rather than actually bending sideways

If i understood this correctly, your doing a precision and then grabbing the bar you are landing on. Isn't that teaching you the bad habit of leaning sideways whenever you're doing a regular precision?

It sounds interesting, but somewhat ineffective if you plan on remaining on the bar. I need to try it though...

@Alan

I think that it'll sort of sort itself out, since if it's done recklessly they'll probably get hurt.. Lol. I think it's good that it's spreading, but I don't like it when things get too mainstream. Maybe that's just a personal preference.

haha the parkour stuff on mtv is cool. Its nice to know that parkour is getting more media attention and is spreading, although i hope that people don't assume its a reckless and dangerous sport for hardheads who dont mind hurting themselve. The best thing to do is to change that stereotyped opinion of everyone you know i guess =) (not that it is stereotyped that much)

Lol, I tried doing that before when I jumped off my balcony. There were spikey weeds on the lawn...

Otherwise, it's a good technique.

no it's not diving step vaults I was mentioning, more of a three/two point landing for better balance using an arm

Are you talking about jumping into a step vault and actually carrying through the motion? Like a step vault instead of a precision landing? Or is it just a 3 point landing ala a step vault? Because I've been slowly replacing nearly all of my precision landings with step vaults (when reasonable to do so) as to continue moving forward consistently. It's a useful tool and feels amazing.

Have you guys seen this parkour stuff on MTV??? Pretty incredible.
Seriously, I wish I could run up a 10 foot wall and dismount with a backflip!!!
For now I think I’ll leave to the pros and save myself the concussion.
Check it out.
