RoKk, a buddy of mine from Mexico, just posted up an interesting interview he did with me a few weeks ago. He was nice enough to post both an English and Spanish version, check them out on the Monos Urbanos website.
And the future? What do you think will happen with Parkour in the next few years?
I feel almost as if a physical revolution is coming (especially here in the states). Where everyone realizes how lazy of an animal they’ve become and reclaims their natural movement capacities and sense of play, through Parkour!
This stuff really isn’t all that new, we just tend to forget when it’s easier to order in and watch TV….
Full interview: English, Spanish

Tight stuff, i definitely dug it, need to make my way down to mexico sometime… considering I’m so damn close haha.
You really should, they are nice people!
–Great article. What part of Mexico is your buddy from? I’ll be in Chihuahua Mexico around christmas and plan on doing some training. Maybe I’ll look them up.
I think he’s around Mexico City, but if you email Monos Urbanos I’m sure you’ll get better info.
So I was thinking about the progression of the sport (since it’s classified as an extreme sport) and I was wondering if there is any talk about Parkour becoming a X-Games event in the future?
I wouldn’t seriously classify Parkour as an extreme sport, there are not many who actually train in it that way. A good deal of the Parkour world is afraid of what’s going to happen to Parkour’s roots if it gets picked up in a big corporate competition circuit like the X-games, I try not to give much thought to it and keep working on just teaching it the best I can.
There are some competitions cropping up now, but the best ones are the ones that are led by traceurs and I hope it stays that way.
That was some good stuff man, you sound pretty damn busy. Hope things are going great for you man. One day I hope to train and learn from you brother.
